Moustache Greenwich Tonsorial Partners with The Brand Union and Ogilvy in the Global Movement “Movember” to Raise Prostate Cancer Awareness

October 28, 2011 – Moustache Greenwich Tonsorial has partnered with The Brand Union and Ogilvy New York in a global Prostate Cancer Awareness cause called “Movember”. During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their moustaches, these men raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. On Movember 1st, men register at Movember.com with a clean-shaven face. For the rest of the month, these selfless and generous men, known as Mo Bros, groom, trim and wax their way into the annals of fine moustachery. Supported by the women in their lives, Mo Sistas, Movember Mo Bros raise funds by seeking out sponsorship for their Mo-growing efforts.

Since its humble beginnings in Melbourne Australia, Movember has grown to become a truly global movement inspiring more than 1.1 Million men to participate with formal campaigns in Australia, New Zealand, the US, Canada, the UK, Finland, the Netherlands, Spain, South Africa and Ireland. The funds raised in the US support prostate cancer and other cancers that affect men. The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and their men’s health partners, the Prostate Cancer Foundation and LIVESTRONG, the Lance Armstrong Foundation. The Brand Union has partnered with Moustache in an effort to create awareness and raise funds for this important cause. The talented barbers of Moustache will be clean-shaving the faces of Ogilvy and The Brand Union employees by November 1st, the start of the competition. At the end of November, the Moustache staff will be judging the facial hair extravaganza and choosing first, second and third place winners whom will receive luxury men’s treatments provided by Moustache Greenwich Tonsorial.
